Final Major Project – Entry #09: Rigging Characters

Rigging is a stage where you have to create joints to make up a movement system that can be implemented into the selected 3D model.

The rigging will be done in Autodesk Maya 2017 using a third-party plug-in named Advanced Skeleton 5. The software itself is free to be used for any non-commercial purpose, as quoted from the Advanced Skeleton 5 official website:

“For independent film makers and students working from home, AdvancedSkeleton is free”.

Some problem occurs when skinning (merging the joint system to the model) the model. I somehow missed some important steps and went back to square one to redo the system again. But it worked well in the end.
