Final Major Project – Entry #08: Weapons Modeling

This entry will cover up the three models:

  • Sniper Rifle
  • Handgun
  • Knife

Sniper Rifle

This sniper rifle that goes by the name SRS-A1 belonged personally to the NDC soldier. He was rewarded the weapon after winning on an international army sniping competition pre-civil war.

The rifle itself is bolt-action, meaning, that its bolt handle (the lever located above the grip) has to be twisted and pulled back-and-forth to reload its bullet each time the rifle fires. The NDC soldier prefers to eliminate his enemies quietly, so he customized the rifle with a suppressor in order to fire the weapon without producing a loud gun blast.

The sniper’s 3D model is a recycle of my past project for a certain assignment. it has been tweaked and retextured many times until it came to this project.

The Model 1911 (shortened M1911) handgun first usage in military service dates back to 1911. Widely known for its reliability, the gun has been in service throughout most of the modern war in human history. Nowadays, its modernized version has replaced the M1911 in the military.

The M1911 is a semi-automatic pistol; each time the trigger being pulled, the slider will automatically pull back-and-forth to discard the empty shell and reload another round from the magazine.

The 3D model was newly made with referred from downloaded images.

But the M1911 that the FF soldier has is a model that has been around for roughly two decades. It was given by his fallen comrade three days prior the main story; the same day where he joined the FF. The FF soldier has no idea that he is wielding an old gun. He refused to switch weapon for he does not receive training in handling other weapons. Thus, giving the reason why he only carries a handgun to the battlefield.

The NDC soldier’s armor and his bag hinder any big movements, a huge liability if any close encounter with an enemy occurs. That’s why he keeps the 6-inch blade in a holster at his lower back.

The knife is one of his collection back when he served in the nation’s army.
